Acid Reflux Cough

If the acid reaches the throat it can become inflamed and swollen resulting in a sore throat and increase in coughing.

One complication is called fibrosis which results in the lining of the lungs becoming scarred. Other complications can include lung infections such as pneumonia.

As pointed out earlier a cough can be linked to a number of causes.
